wonder if they are using a cobalt free battery ?

Nope. It is the Cobalt version (NMC) battery pack made by a South Korean supplier, "SK On", in Georgia and Hungary.. Ford hasn't started with LFP yet, it is just starting to build the plant in Michigan. Once they do, fire danger is greatly reduced.   On Monday, Ford said it planned to build a $3.5 billion battery plant in Michigan with technology and help from a ...more
