Actually, adding more cobalt is not the solution. Rather removing it is. LFP batteries are much safer than Lithium-Ion with Cobalt, and now even have 10 minute recharging times (CATL recently introduced its latest development – a lithium-iron-phosphate LFP cell with 249 miles range and 10-minute fast charge).
