If you are into small-cap gold you are going to want to hear about this one. Kalo Gold ($KALO.V $ KLGDF) is an exploration company whose main asset is the Vatu Aurum gold project (Fiji).
$KALO holds two mineral exploration licenses covering 36,700 hectares of land on Vanua Levu (Fiji's north island) which is on-trend with many of the largest gold deposits in the world in the Southwest Pacific Ring of Fire.
Earlier this month $KALO announced a brokered private placement of common shares to raise gross proceeds of a minimum of approx. $3M.
Once this placement closes the proceeds will be used on the second phase of exploration at Vatu Aurum for drill testing three new significant identified targets, expanding their geophysical survey, other groundworks and working capital purposes.
Overall, I think $KALO is looking really promising and I think the closing of the PP could possibly act as a modest catalyst for them.
