There has been some talk of perhaps DeBeers buying MPV's 49 percet at the Place of Big Rabbits (Gahcho Kue), if that ever happened, my first thought was they would want KDI and mayber even DIA and GGL ?

Of course they would - which led me to my soberest thoughts: DeBeers would probably want to starve any and all proberties around Gahcho Kue; if not part of a buyout of MPV, KDI wasn't included, I'd take what I could get for KDI on the news.  

DeBeers doesn't play well with others.  Even if it wasn't DeBeers and someboy bought the whole property, would the new entity treat KDI as something to starve for a nice low price 15 years from now ?

Thoughts ?

Whiteirish, nice ideas except for de Beers. De Beers is playing nice with the Ministry of the Environment in the Northwest Territories (as we speak)because they want Gahcho Kue permitted as much as we do! De Beers' negotiating and technical skills are absolutely essential to getting over the final hurdle so we can see construction start on the mine. Hopefully, in addition, we will see ...more

DeBeers may play nice with the authorities, but they don't play nice in business.  Since PE is CEO of both MPV and KDI, I suspect he would work in boths best interest if a takeover was proposed.

I believe de Beers has a good reputation in Canada. Regardless of how we feel about the company, we need them to sue their experience to get the permits and build the mine.
