Today's NR

They mention the "kelvin pipe" today, which marks confirmation to what I was hypothesizing last year....

Buck... when I first read your original post I did exactly what you suggested and took out a ruler and protractor and drew out a model. These recent results are incredible. The kimberlite body must be deep, at least in this drill location. The thing is... this is just one drill location. If one puts all the pieces together... this could be really big. So take 8,000,000 tons x 2 cpt x $150.00 x .10 ...more

Yes it's great news. Using 8,000,000 tons x 2 cpt x $150.00 = 2.4B gross value. The 3 variables in the math are realistic and Kelvin and Faraday are so close to processing facilities. In the July 15th news they don't say whether the KDI-14HQ-021a and KDI-14HQ-022 results were from Drill 1 or 2. But they seem to be from Drill 2 since KDI-14-018 is not mentioned per se.

Keno700. I'm assuming hole 21a is drill 1 and hole 22 is drill 2. I don't know why they would put the "a" in 21 unless the same rig was going to punch a "b" from the same collar so whatever drill drilled 21a is likely doing 21b right now. also, the may 27th NR contained holes 17b, 18a, 18b, 19a, 19b, 20a and 20b so I think all holes are accounted for. btw, thank you ...more

Thanks Buckshot, that makes sense about the drill hole numbers. I assume 21a and 22 are Kelvin delineation holes. One on the north lobe and one on the west shore. It would be very good if they find something down-dip on the dyke. Some widths there would really change things up.

I don't know why they would put the "a" in 21 unless the same rig was going to punch a "b" I won't say this is the case here but where ever I see an "a" next to a drill hole it usually means the first hole was abandoned for what ever reason; difficult conditions, stuck or broken head etc etc.

with some companies I would agree but not with kennady.  look through their NR's and you will see the pattern. look at table 1 of the May 27NR for example.  the "a's" and "b's" although not stated explicitly are obviously drilled from the same collar at 80 and 90 degrees inclinations respectively. all the holes are similiar depth and none end in ...more

"so they obviously are re-drills" should read "so they obviously AREN'T re-drills"

https://kennadydiamonds.com/media/kdi_presentation_june_2014_update.pdf If you look through the slides from the presentation they have generated some plans and a 3D model of the Kelvin kimberlite.

Good to hear from U again Buckshot26. I have enjoyed your analysis in the past.
