Some perspective

Before NFG hit it rich on the Queensway North property there was almost 200 holes by previous operators over 20 plus years. For those that are new to the game keep in mind that it's not an easy thing finding an economic mineral deposit. But that being said LAB has an excellent shot at it. GLTA

200 holes? 20 years? I guess they were drilling deeper and NOT taking core samples until they got down deep, real deep, and somehow all the cuttings did not expose the near-surface mineralization? God meant this to be.

Another thing to consider is the geology was not well understood.....it's easy to miss the offshoots or splays. The similarities to Fosterville were not considered at that time Best S

Excellent point surething. Now they know with Quinton Hennigh's guidance and others who have experience with these types of high grade splays similar to Fosterville they need to do very close drill spacing of the holes. They might drill at only ten meter spacing or even less to understand the orientation of the mineralization. This is the problem SIC encountered on the Moosehead ...more

meggacopper, I've been racking my ole brain trying to figure out where our paths have crossed. Do you remember many many moons ago, an outfit that used to be run by a guy, I think his name was something like Jerry Blackwell? I think they were looking for gold in Peru. May have been GIT.
Comment by megacopper on Jun 09, 2021 9:16am
Yes I was a big shareholder of GIT about 15 plus years ago. Jerry Blackwell was the president and CEO for a long time. That's one of the companies I've got lots of wall paper from. Lol I owned a lot of mining juniors over the past 30 years. I owned shares in Bema and Arizona Star as well and that is why I came up with my name Megacopper because of the large copper porphyry they ...more

Yeah man, I think I wallpapered my outhouse with that one! Learned a lot since then. Had some big winners over the years that always kept me in the game, and have cut down substantially on the losers. I've been cooking with gas since I sold my GBR and redeployed mainly to this Newfoundland gold rush. At this point I am also pretty high on HURA & BRC.

that is why I came up with my name Megacopper because of the large copper porphyry they had in Chile called the Cerro Casale that was bought out by Kinross and Barrick about 15 years ago. Actually copper is soaring in price right now which has always been a leading indicator of inflationary times ahead.  In traditional times copper leads in gold upswing and silver leads in a  downturn ...more
