Market Expectations for LAB Assay Results......?

To date, LAB's assay results have been disappointing, especially since they, like others, are (presumably) drilling their holes at spots they believe have the greatest likelihood of hitting the best cores given their pre-drilling investigation of the property (and yes, I realize that they could be missing by just a few feet - however, alternatively, there may not be much "there there").

I realize that the next set of assays (or the one after that) may in fact be very impressive, but I wonder if future great assay results are already "baked into the cake" in LAB's current share price of $1.55 and market cap of $234M.....?

For example, after NFG announced yet another jackpot core and a third zone before market open today, NFG closed up 5.91% for the day while LAB jumped 13.97%.

It appears as if the market is expecting NFG-like cores from LAB, but LAB has a much smaller claims package at Kingsway than NFG (77 square kilometres vs. 1,500 square kilometres), a much shorter potential length of strike along Appleton, and assay results to date that do not exactly raise eyebrows.

It will be interesting to see how the market responds to LAB's next set of assay results and those that follow if they fall well short of NFG's recent news.........

Eric Sprott and Ontario Investments have added 500,000 shares each 9 days ago.  If LAB hit a decent strike in the next couple of months, it will be worth it

AlwaysLong while you may be correct when you say the next assays could be baked into the SP because there is a lot of anticipation of us potentially hitting NFG type assays, it would be fair to say the inflated SP could be correct as it is. I say that because of the backing and promotion LAB is getting. QH can't stop telling everyone that LAB has the same stuff as NFG. Same rocks, same ...more

stockinup, yes, unlike SiC, LAB's management seems very confident in their flagship property (Kingsway) and appears to be focusing their efforts on trying to hit big-time cores there. LAB is not purchasing other land packages or entering into joint ventures to gain interest in still more properties - they appear to like what they have and are pouring their time and effort into finding knockout ...more

" ..... Mother Nature may not have stopped doing her work at the LAB / NFG claims border, but she also may have not continued to do the same work at Big Vein as she did further south ...... " I think we need to remember that the outcropping originally discovered at Big Vein should be very indicative of what's underneath too, unless some meteor created it (unlikely).

Hey AlwaysLong, good point of view, thanks. I believe that investors are cautious, as in being at least a little reluctant to put money into LAB based just on NFG's stellar results to date. There is some evidence, based on nearology and some drill results. But truthfully, if we start seeing drill results like NFG, I expect LAB to soar to at least half the price of NFG. Yes, their land package ...more

I wonder the same. To my understanding, this land is from the claims that Shawn Ryan let expire. Maybe he has first rights to them when they become available. This may give LAB an edge to option them from him. Just speculation on my part. SU

Hey Dan Here is a link to NL Gov licence lookup. You can see who has received licences and by going into the licence details you can copy the UTM coordinates and convert to Lat and Long.  I did that for one of Shawn Ryan's 26 or so licences for June and it is a section of land much farther south along the general Appleton trend.. Hope this helps https://licensing.gov.nl.ca ...more
