Of note is that 7 wells was drilled on the lease by Anglo-Persia oil company in the 1930s. 5 of the wells were drilled less than 1000 m. One of the wells was drilled further to around 2400 m and flowed 5000 bopd. This is the so called discovery well. The last well was drilled deeper at the flank of the reservoir and tested water in deeper section. with mordern seimic data plus existing historical well drilling information, LFD and its partners would be better prepared in delineating the size of this dicovery well. Initial estimate places it at 3.1 billio barrels of oil.

The planned well that management is so confident to put into production will be drilled beside the discovery well.

Buy all the LFD you can buy as this baby will start to rock as we approach spudding the well in April 2011.
