Drilling next summer

Is there anyone here who can tell me if next summers'  drilling is exploration... or appraisal.  It can only be one
or the other,  correct ?

For your information robvc,  the well is being promoted as "exploration ".  The reason ?  It has to be,  they cannotadvertize an appraisal well,  without appraising a previous discovery.So following along that line,  this mysterious 1936 well is no more than folklore,  because if they had respectabledata,  this next well would be an appraisal.  ...more

Anybody know what technology they had in 1936 for logging wells? Was there any?

Wikipedia give a good history of well logging. In 1936 logging was really in it's infancy. Chances are threr was no log run on the old well at all. The only data remaining is the flow rate the well produced at. This may explain why the LFD well may be classified as exploratory.
