5000/day discovered on the block already

We already know there is oil. And 5000/day discovery is commercial, especially since it could be as high as 20000. there are already plans to start producing the block.

According to EOIM,  the well costs are up to $15 million. Why don't they open up the 5000 bopd well that Maysteeler talks about,  and have it pay for this drill ?   Who cares if it doesn't hold up,  anything is better than nothing.  I'm sure there is someone who can explain how the 5000 bopd could pay expenses,  even thoughthe company only has a 40 ...more

Plans have already been made for production. To ask why they are not producing is a stupid question. You could ask that question about any Kurd play. The question you need to ask is why is a billionaire involved, and how much will ...more

Maysteeler... if they already have a 5000 bopd well then why don't they produce it ?  It seems to me that sincethe oil column was considered too small to be commercial... they have to try another location.  Does that make sense ?The first well was non-commercial so they're looking elsewhere. In my opinion,  the oil column being too small to develop,  should have been ...more
