Received from a reliable contact:

I thought you might like to know that I've just finished making a couple of calls to LFD in Canada. The number listed on the TSX website goes to a voice mail of a lady currently on maternity leave. Boy, really professional. I called the alternative number given on the voicemail and it was eventually picked up by a young lady (not on materity leave) who tried to answer my question but gave up and asked me to hold the line. She kindly passed me through to the Company Secretary - Neil Fyad (Fiad) - who told me that a management announcement will be made tomorrow about when the dividend payment will become due. It will only be paid to those shareholders on the register at the time of the completion of the Transaction - namely April 30 2012. So, I can start selling my LFD and still get the full dividend. It was good that the Company Sec actually bothered to talk to me. I was quite impressed.

By that last sentence, does this then mean, anyone who buys after that April 30th date.. does not get the dividend. Otherwise they would be paying out twice. Are you sure about the last bit or assuming that is what they meant? Thanks for the info, any news helps. FX.
