On July 10, 2012 Goodwood announced that together with Salida they have control over more than 37% of Longford's shares. Goodwood itself owns 12.1%. That's quite a stake and far too much for only collecting the paycheck. I think that they will come up with an idea and that we will see higher share prices soon. These rumors were mentioned here on this board. I just wanted to remind people that there might be positive aspects at Longford. Taxistealer, I think you shouldn't invest in publicly traded companies as with those crews in control I am sure they will find a way to suck more money out of the coffers built by the investors and put it right where it belongs .... in their greasy little hands. You

it was me that made the reference to the longford - dacha relationship possibilities......however i never said there were rumors.  it was mearly my own speculation.  big difference.

OK, speculation, not rumors, but at least reasonable speculation. Here is a quote from the Management's Discussion and Analysis: In approving this non-executive director compensation program, Longford’s independent directors determined that these director compensation arrangements would be re-visited if Longford has not completed or made substantial progress towards completing a material
