The vote

I received the voting doccuments to vote for the merger company, just as outlined  a few weeks ago. My opinion is. If you think the newly form company worths $ 1.9 / share perhaps it is ok. To me  our  part ( lfd ) is only  worths less than a quarter of  the total value of the new company. My holding is diluted after the reverse split, so is all existing lfd shareholders. An unfair deal  for lfd shareholders. However if you think  Urearthcast can fly in a year like Yahoo, may be it is a good deal. For me it is a no. I need your comment.

The breakdown of the shareholdings reflects the ante of both parties. You keep coming back to the dilution aspect which is irrelevant. Look, either you take a powder or you go for the ride and stop complaining about it. Sure we could lose everything but then the Bay Street boys will as well. I think they know what they are doing. Stop whining already!

Popeye, it is very relevent for existing  lfd shareholders. I don't know how many shares you own. May be 1 million  or may be just 10,000 shares. For  the rest of lfd shareholders it is a rip off. The deal is good for Urethecast but bad for existing lfd shareholders. Again I said if you believe the new company can be sucessful as Yahoo or Microsoft might be it is a good deal ...more

dreamer and others have every reason to 'whine'...  first we had the lies from Forbes and Manhattan about the 10 cent dividend to get us to vote for a deal under false pretenses... then the big bonuses of 20% of mkt cap. Then we had new competent honest mgmt team come in and take months to just work on their compensation packages,  They certainlty seemed to say that they were ...more

Rock, you said it all. Thank uou for your comments. I just voted by proxy Only yes for the new management directors , the rest are nos. Of course there are shareholders would wote for  yes. All I am saying is , I had been screwed by lfd and they would care less for shareholders.  And I don't think our opinions count very much to change the outcome. I just want to unload my shares as ...more

i think the anger is appropriately placed on the old management team (said, bharti) that bungled the kurdistan asset that genel benefited from big time, promised a dividend to shareholders and then reneged, then paid themselves bigtime with the change of control.  however, the new management team is for the most part aligned with current shareholders.  their cost basis for their stock is ...more

cinco... thanks for your intelligent reply, I agree for the most part.  I was very happy that the new mgmt took out the Bharti gang and moved in, they would have just bleeded out the rest in time...  And a good point that they put their money into LFD just as we did... the thing with DSM was troubling as it is another Forbes one, not sure what they were thinking there. I will vote in ...more
