Are they Finding more oxide Gold above the Sulphides ?

Early drilled  holes at the Butia zone, from the southwest to the northeast discovered the  occurrence of oxide gold above the sulphide zone .

This was considered important, as it points to the possibility of significant oxide gold ore sitting above the sulphide mineralization. According to the Technical Report published in July 2010, oxide gold was reported following surface drill assays frim intervals of 0 to 12 .5 meters grading.

Oxide gold is not refractory and can be refined much cheaper than sulphides .

Its possible that , if sufficient near surface oxides exist within the FDP- Butia deposits, early mining of oxides could provide robust cash flows at very low cash funds which could fund the development of the much larger sulphide resources ..

Oxide gold is the weathered ( oxidized ) and exposed surface expression of the underlying  bedrock containing the sulphide gold lodes . I note that generating  Near Term cash flow by exploiting the near surface Gold-in-Oxide blankets is not unusual in Brazil..

Hi Nozz, follow you and your work, good stuff. Anyways, considering your post here, just wanted to tip you off on Cabral Gold, sitting on extreme Gold-in-oxide in Brasil. I've got stock there, but not Lavras yet. Galiano is where i "met you", huge fan of Matt
