Paredo and more drilling Planned for Canalaria

"The best place to find a new gold mine is near an old gold mine "

When you have successful artisanal gold workings in a district in which gold mineralization begins at the surface and extends continously at depth , the probability of drilling success will be very high.

" Paredo is characterized by old artisanal gold workings consisting of trenches and pits within the Lavras do Sul intrusion. These working generally trend in a northeast-southwest direction.

Drilling was oriented perpendicular to this trend to test the nature of the gold potential below the old workings.

Assay results are pending.

Other targets are being developed within the Caneleira concession and are expected to be tested in the second half of 2024. "

All indications are that a major new gold district in Brazil is emerging, with Lavros now focussing on drilling its extensional 3D dimensions both in the Southwest ..FDP...and Northeast ..Paredo

The fact that early permitting for mine development is now being initiated tells you a lot as to what they have discovered todate..

It is interesting but not surprising that Butia and Cerrito discoveries were both located from previous artisanal surface workings.....and now they are drilling another such discovery ,Paredo. In addition , the recent Vila Marieta gold discovery also within old surface workings ,is believed to be   the southwest surface extension of the Cerrito Gold Deposit. Those ubiquitous historic ...more

I am curious as to when drill number 3 started work.  Just trying to get an idea of when assays might be released.

There was no mention of a third drill in the Q1 report. However, in Q1 regional soil surveys  highlighted three significant gold-in-soil anomalies ......at Matilde and Matilde Extension (3.8km x 4.8km anomaly), and ..... ..a 4.6km x 4.8km soil anomaly overlying historical gold workings including Galvao, Zeca Souza and Caneleira, .....and a third, more scattered anomaly (roughly 4 ...more

Great summary nozzpack, with 24 identified gold prospects and the Butia/FDP drill campaign on the verge of proving up a mineable deposit, the next few years offer tremendous upside for LGC.  I agree, with the current MC of 120m, the SP is undervalued given the activity to date and the potential that is just starting to be revealed, the next 6 to 12 months will be interesting.

What brought me to this stock was the potential of Matilde and Matidle Extension and that the two may be connected , with progressive increases in grade along the way. That is even more the probable case now . If that becomes the case, the potential value now appearing in these sequential gold despoists being mensurated across the Lavros way, could  be dwarfed by Matilde's metals pantry ...more
