I am not sure whether anyone else had posted similar information before. But following is some background information about the Chinese party I found from some websites. Hopefully, it helps.
Tibet Summit seems to be the real acquirer in this Lithium-X acquisition deal. It is a public company trading at Shanghai stock exchange( Ticker: 600338 ). Recently it is trading at CNY36.5 per share, with a market cap of CNY23.8B( around CAD$4.8B). The company is a mining company and its major subsidiary is called Tajik-China() which is also involved in the Lithium-X deal. Tajik-China's main business is mining Lead and Zinc at Tajikistan.
NextView(NNEL) is a joined venture owned by NextView Shanghai() and Tibet Submit. Nextview Shanghai is an investment company which owns 16.65% of Tibet Summit and is its second-largest shareholder. By end of the year 2017, Nextview Shanghai has CNY2B(CAD$400m) in equity. NNEL is 55% controlled by NextView Shanghai and 45% by Tibet Submit.
As a public company, Tibet Submit has to disclose any major new related to this deal to the public. There are dozens in 2017 and some in 2018. The links are provided at the end. Following is from some of those reports:
2017.11.27(2017-54): The company disclosed that its intention to form a joined venture to acquire a Lithium company. Didn't mention Lithium-X's name.
2017.12.19(2017-60): The company disclosed that NNEL will acquire Lithium-X with terms and conditions etc. basically, at the same time when Lithium-X disclosed the deal.
2017.12.28(2017-64): The company disclosed that it through Tajik-China, had advanced the USD$16m to the escrow account.
2018.01.24(2018-005): The company disclosed that it will act as the guarantee for NNEL to finance a commercial loan of USD$1.8B for a company called "", with a term of 5 years and interest rate no more than 9.5%. By the year-end of 2017, has CNY26.6B(CAD$5.3B) in assets.
About the Bacanora 20% share deal, the purchaser is called "NextView Capital"(NVC) which is 100% owned by Nextview Shanghai. Nextview Shanghai controls the 55% share in NNEL through NVC. But NVC does not have a direct relation to Tibet Summit. Hence Tibet Summit never mentioned the deal in any disclosure. Simply put, the Bacanora deal is between Nextview Shanghai and Bacanora and Tibet Summit is not part of it. While the Lithium-X deal is 55% by Nextview Shanghai and 45% by Tibet Summit and Tibet Summit is the main backer for the financing of the deal.
Strangely enough, in NVC's website, it mentions the Lithium-X deal while didn't the Bacanora deal.
Next View Capital Disclaimer: I am long LIX and I cannot guaranty all the information are accurate. You can find the information pretty easily from Tibet Submit's public disclosure which is provided below. You probably need to find someone who understands Chinese to help you.
