Ereopean graphite price are up 40%~50% since last year

I was reading financial Q1 from leading edge and a note pop my eyes about graphite price :

Battery raw material prices have risen sharply over the last few months driven by continued strong demand and increasing production costs, not least due to increasing electricity costs globally2. Graphite prices in Europe, including spherical purified graphite (being the anode material feedstock), are recently reported3 to be up almost 40-50% compared to the same period last year4.

Some good reading in there.   I think anybody setting up shop to manufacture EV's or batteries are going to be close to their suppliers in order to keep shipping costs down.   The hubs being setup in Quebec and Ontario are proof of that.

The focus of graphite investors is the battery opportunity. It's a big opportunity but graphene production is also a potential big graphite consumer of graphite. Nanoxplore Montreal facility.  The biggest in the word consumes 4000 tons a year.  They planning to expend it to 10000 t/year. Blackswan Masson partner makes a lot of sense in that perspective.
