Market destoyer

Further to my Tier 2 info, here is a perfect example of our Market Maker screwing the price. Although they accounted for a majority of the trades yesterday they dropped the price instead of increasing it.
Starting at 2:50 they dropped the price to buy 100 shares and continued to buy small amounts every 10 minutes and dropped it again with 29 seconds to go on the day.
They could have just as easily bought at the market keeping the price at 1.03 or better yet bought it up to 1.04. Unfortunately there are still a lot of weak hands willing to sell at low prices.

I am a small time trader not sure what would be involved with taking a company private ...more

It would be of no benefit for them to spend their own money to take it private. Prove and sell has been the motto since as long as I have been reading ( lol only 2 years...) Now a private company could do the buying. That is feasible. But they want someone to buy their shares off them just like we all do!

On the contrary Wmaver, there would be a benefit because they could then sell the private company at a huge profit and get an extra level of profit from the 19% they bought cheap, However, not something I would worry about. I think there are provisions in the OBCA that would preclude squeezing the minority out without paying them a price that would reflect the true value. In addition, I don' ...more
