That list of arguments sounds  pretty darn compelling.  Any disagreements with the arguements made?

Not at all, and Bigggold2 should be commended for taking the time to post such an informative and perceptive summary. Everyone in the group should follow the link and read it thoroughly. I believe that this all supports my belief, that I have posted, that contary to what other members are suggesting, that there is nothing more that LME needs to do-no drilling, no 43-101-they just have to ...more

I agree with you. They have identified and increased the strike zone(s) and how much gold there is in these areas, meanwhile they have drilled and confirmed with 100% success that the gold and minerals extend to the edge of the property or there abouts. I don't feel like there is any more drilling that needs to be done that would turn up more gold, that they don't already know about. The ...more

Primpage- Would you really expect the CEO of Barrick (or anyone else) to publicly state that he is willing to "overpay" (even if he really is)??? Naturally he will say that he will not. To say otherwise would hardly be a very good negotiating stategy. In addition, what would constitute an "overpay" is very subjective, and what may seem that can be justified based on the ...more

There is always more drilling.... even after the mine starts producing I am sure there will be more drilling. Always drilling.  But I know nothing about mining! Lol just that there is always drilling to be done.
Comment by Primpage on Jan 21, 2023 10:08am
You're right. But I look at the intent of the drilling and is it to discover or produce. I don't think they need to drill any further to discover gold and if they start drilling to produce, then I guess they would start to have revenue but I hope they sell first.
Comment by Wizzle on Jan 21, 2023 9:33pm
My understanding is that Barrick is the second largest gold company in the world.  Kinross is likely still dealing with the GB purchase.  Is there really any company large enough other the Barrick to purchase LME?  Is there anyone else worth keeping our eyes on?
Comment by Not2smart on Jan 22, 2023 2:34pm
Please if someone can answer Wizzle’s question  that would be great.   Can I add to this  what would the purchase price be for LME ? what about a private equity teaming up with a mining company 50/50 ? Is that possible
Comment by Wmaver on Jan 22, 2023 2:41pm
No one can answer wizzles question.... Someone can speculate, guess on factors they can see.  But you will find no answers here. No one here can answer the purchase price question.   I have seen guesses from 4$ to 30$ per share. Grab your share  position and be content with the ride.

Absolutely right Wmaver. But, let me flip things around and give you a different question that I think prople can answer. We know for a fact that Barrick has signaled that they are looking to acquire a junior this year. Are there any OTHER juniors out there which would be as appealing to them as LME? I doubt it, but I don't know everything that is out there.

https://www.reddit.com/r/WSSjuniormining/comments/10ff7tg/laurion_mineral_exploration_lme_lmeff_20x/ Reddit is a beast, good and bad.  When volume is such as it is on a stock like LME promotion matters.  We're not getting any promotion from LME itself and there may be no reason for that or there may be an amazing reason(s) for that. Either way, it's in our best interests to ...more

No! No! No!  As much as I like to see positive momentum for my own peace of mind, I don't think there is any benefit in trying to hype up the price unless you are hoping to sell at a high and call it a day.   As stressful as the 30 cent low was, it was a great oppertunity to increase shares at a modest cost.  I think most of us here are hoping to either hold on/slowly ...more

yeah.......no. this stock needs more people buying it.  A couple dozen people in a chat room who are out of money can't hold this price let alone improve it. LME needs more shareholders who will buy and then tell people they know to buy after they get their positions. Advertise LME! Keeping a good story quiet will only test your nerves, we can't have any more 9k share volume days ...more

"this stock needs more people buying it." - but why?  Most of us here are waiting for the buyout.  The volume traded and price per share is essentially irrelevant to the buy out process.   "LME needs more shareholders who will buy and then tell people they know to buy after they get their positions." why hype up the stock if you want your friends to buy ...more

That's not how markets/money works on a small cap junior. Look, it's great that you want to be able to buy a couple hundred shares biweekly when you get your paycheque, but that's how you get days like today.   Stocks only go up when there are more bids than asks.  LME needs people with cash to bid on stock. Share, upvote, comment, post.... all of it.  Or ...more

The buyer if buying based on value not the current share price. More bids than asks just fills the order book. You need more people hitting the offer. Are you buying in anticipation for a buyout or after an up move? For a buyout its irrelavant.
Comment by Bigggold2 on Jan 23, 2023 3:18pm
100% wrong.  It's cool, sounds like you've not been through one of these before.   All good, buy the stock, tell people to buy the stock, tell them to tell people to buy the stock. Full order books are good for everything, including buyouts.
Comment by ilovexau on Jan 24, 2023 11:18am
Sorry biggold, but I side with sherm and wiz on this. Once again you are trying to appease your emotions with an upward move in stock price. Yes we all feel better when it moves up, I would feel more comfortable and confident if the stock price was over $1. $2 even better. I would develop more patience and sleep comfortably waiting for a buyout if it was the case. So my desire to see it rise back ...more

The flaw with what you're saying is that you're drinking Matlas kool aid.  This company will get bought, but not anytime soon.  Likely not anytime remotely soon. Today's press release isn't crowing, it's a request for attention from acquirors.  They don't have any suitors anywhere near writing a multi billion dollar cheque but I'm sure they'd love to ...more

FYI just to clarify Matlas drinks my Kool aid. LOL I did not realize that you had confirmation from inside that there was no suitors, please let us know when your inside guy confirms there is one. That would be hugely helpful. Your sentiment here confirms my conclusion that you are looking for a pop in share price so that you can either exit short term or be reassured while we wait for a ...more

Thanks ilovexau-I didn't know that I was drinking your Kool aid-I thought I had my own supply many thanks for letting me share! I find it very curious that Bigggold2 is adopting such a pessimistic view on this forum regarding a buy-out, given that his posting on Reddit seems to convey something very different. For example, he refers to the prior posting there from CHAL 89 as beeing on the ...more

I don't think there is any malice here.  Big wants us to talk up LME, which he is doing, and encourages us to do the same, I have no issue with that, and I continue to do a, its just our base objectives and underlying motivations may be slightly at odds
Comment by matlas on Jan 25, 2023 8:31am
I don't know about the "malice" Ilovexau. What concerns me is the deceptiveness. If you read what he has written on Reddit and compare to what he has written on this forum, you would think it was two different people. On Reddit, intelligent, inciteful, and optimistic about LME; on this forum he write lots of absolute nonsense and spews pessimism. Vety strange!
