waiting on the sale and questions

as all of us are, i am waiting on the sale. not impatient because i get how this goes, but definitely still antsy lol.

but on another note, i was doing some thinking. if i recall correctly, Cynthia said she didnt really want a buyout that included shares into another company and wanted just a full cash buyout for it all (someone tell me if i am incorrect). do you think she waits until her idea of price is met? or taking a small hit on the buyout price to have no shares involved? or do you think she would take an equivalent of her price idea with shares involved in the buyout?

not sure if that makes sense but just some side thoughts while we are all waiting.

Gello I believe you are correct that Cynthia did say cash deal.  However, I think it may be a cash/share deal.  If LME is able to prove the riches to the buyer the price could be substantially higher.  I want to believe that a deal is in the works and the are battling over price.  i will be happy either way as Cynthia is going to get the best price for share holders.   ...more

thanks for that! i knew i couldve sworn she said a full cash deal. but i agree i think a cash/share is much more likely since it is potentially a quite high buyout price. fingers crossed that all the news is just running as normal while they are in the talks with at least 1 potential buyer. i cash/share buyout wouldnt be a terrible thing if it means the correct buyout price is agreed upon and ...more

FYI- On Roger's FB page, he just reiterated that they are still insisting on an all cash deal. He wrote: "Some shareholders are fine with an exchange to the acquirers shares, along with the prospects of future dividends. Whereas with LME because Cynthia and I (and the LME board members) are the largest shareholder group would insist on an all CASH deal ONLY." & ...more

Any thoughts that the deal will take a fair bit longer becuase if it only being cash instead of a mixture of shares and cash

My guess is that we are long past that point. LME has been clear and open about the fact that they only want an all cash deal for quite some time, Presumably, they would only be dealing with potential buyer(s) who are aware of that fact and are prepared to do a deal on that basis.
