Today is final day….

...to buy LME shares to be able to vote at AGM. Date of record to own shares is Oct 5th. Because it takes 2 days to settle the trade, you need to purchase shares TODAY to be able to vote at AGM!!!

52 mins left to buy.

But that begs the question of what is the big benefit of being able to vote at AGM? I don't see it! The AGM is not going to have anything significant, and, on top of that, F&F control in any event. The vote on Plan of Arrangement would be at Special Meeting to vote on Plan of Arrangement, and there again, it will all be sewn-up without our vote.

could mean nothing, could mean everything! it sure would explain the volume today! The AGM has already been filed as a Special Meeting so it could count as a vote for the plan of aramgent,  Steve said it likely won't, and it will likely just be an AGM.... but hey we are all guessing here, and the FOMO and Greed are real!

I seriously doubt that the volume today is motivated by a desire to vote at AGM. I think it is motivate by a desire to make a big profit when BO comes and people are smelling that it is close. The AGM always refers to a Special Meeting, but I think that Special Meeting to ratify a Plan of Arrangement would be separate and later. The timing would not work in terms of the steps that have to be ...more

...and nobody has been waiting for the BIG PAYDAY longer than Cynthia (and Roger)... since April 2003. Exciting times ahead!

Yet, someone on this forum actually suggested that LME could be a "pump and dump". Imagine that! If so, should be listed in Guiness Book of Records as longest running one in history.

@Matlas, forgive my ignorance but I had some questions (floor is also open to anyone else as well): How important/much do you think LME is prioritizing completing the deal by EOY (in regards to the tax benefits you outlined that come into effect in 2024)? The reason I ask is because if we think there is high incentive to wrap this up by EOY time is ticking. We can look to ahsineeg’s ...more

On the second question - we all get to vote - which means a scheduled meeting which means an announcement. One of the better things about LME - one and only one class of shares. We all own exactly what everyone else owns - including Cynthia and Roger - one vote each.  My personal opinion on the first question - I think they are working to get a max-price deal done ASAP - not because Xmas ...more

Hi Smitty- 1) It is all relative, but I think that there is enough money in terms of tax dollars at stake for them to want to close by year end. For sure, we dont have that much time, but I think that they can still do it.It will be a bit ridiculous, given how close they are to close in early January. 2) I see BO announcement no later than next week to allow for closing by end of year. 3) As ...more
