Asking for a friend ...

Since gold is worth over $2K today, would that favour LME to sell?

and if there are any buyers, its not in their best interest to buy a mine (if showing good prospects/reports) cause they would have to pay high. But if gold is down, would the buyers be  more incline to make an offer to a mine thats showing good potential?

Just asking for a friend

Tell your friend that the current spot price for gold is going to have little to do with LME selling or the price. Anyone looking to buy is going to base their pricing on a estimate of long term future prices. However, this may be a time when the expecation will be high. The rest of your question makes no sense to me.

I agree totally Marla's. A question for you if u don't mind.  All the speculation out there suggests a possible sale of the company within the next few yrs. What are your thoughts? Cheers

I see no "Marla's"??? Do you mean me? If so, I am still thinking BO announced by end of year,

My sincere apologies on the name spelling. Thank u for replying.  That is quite a positive response.  I know all investors would love that, but after hiring a marketing manager, and an accountant retiring, I have a hard time with your thought process.  However , I want u to be right.   They had a hard start in the spring this yr tdue to permits not in place, so it ...more

This has all been posted a lot on here but a brief summary for people unfamiliar:  -read the investor slideshow and fact sheet on lmes site theres a tons of positives in there, strong cash balance, infrastructure and workforce advantages and TONS of other great things -Engagement of uscg andengagement of special committee- two things don't happen on your average day to day basis ...more

Amen Tannerleo to what Lambo said which all makes me think BO soon. In addition, contrary to what you are suggesting,  I don't see that the fact that they hired Steve is inconsistent with a BO coming soon-this has been discussed at length. Furthermore, the accountant did not retire, it was a board member who happens to be an accountant. This in no way negates a BO soon. This was for ...more

...HOWEVER, it needs to be said that while these are excellent indicators, they are all circumstantial evidence of a BO.  -nobody knows for a fact how much/many GEO's are in the ground -nobody knows for a fact that there is a buyer/deal currently in the works -noboody knows for a fact if this thing is even going to sell, let alone for what price I am not a Debbie Downer, I am just ...more

I think it's important to note that it's not necessarily true that something is unknown to all just because nothing's been disclosed    Cynthia made it clear that work on exploration, development and disposition are all advancing and she's happy with the progress.   We get to know about some of that but not all.  The stuff that's in the locked down box ...more

Thanks Steve.  I should have clairifed that when i said "nobody", I really should've said nobody in the general public.

"circumstantial evidence of a BO" What is this a murder trial? The only way you are going to know for sure is when it is announced. Until then, we just go by inferences from various clues. Many of us believe these strongly suggest a BO soon. If you don't accept that, that is your perogitive.

Thats fair JoJo... everyone has the right to their opinion and I definitely value and respect the idea of managing expectations. I cant help but stress the writing on the wall.  I think the importance of the special committee formation gets lots on some people. Just google "why do companies form special committees?"  There are companies out there that engage financial ...more

the best kind of BOs are the ones with little/no leak....always fun seeing sp go from .25 to $7 in the blink of an eye.

A few years is far, far too long. I think it has to happen in the next 12ish months or people (family and friends) I would assume are not going to be too thrilled and may seek another hostile takeover. Could be wrong though. I certainly hope its before the end of 2024.

I mean, honestly, they've been on this property for 20 years now....
Comment by mithril56 on Nov 01, 2023 2:15pm
Randz - hasn't quite been 20 years.  Cynthia has been with LME for 20 years, but the Ishkoday was acquired in 2007.  LME had multiple properties back then, such as the Bell Mountain property in Nevada.  The focus on the Ishkoday came in 2012 when they sold off the Nevada property, and used the proceeds to drill on the Ishkoday....then they really ramped up and began on their ...more
