That's a terrific update.  Great to see that our contracted financial advisor is confirming that their process is progressing.  The update on the resource estimate is noteworthy to be sure.  That option was one that Cynthia and Board always acknowledged but up to and including very recently was not imminent. Cynthia, the Board and her team have definitely been busy executing ...more

Steve are you able to answer.   With one of the strategies to produce 43-101 now,   Can you confirm how many more meters of drilling needed to accurately complete this and time line of this drilling to complete the needed meters.  ( if not please add to questions tomorrow)

Not in my wheelhouse but I'll ask the boss.

I'm very happy to hear this. It's the one piece of info I was frustrated not to have. I hope it is completed after some of the newly surveyed ground is drilled.   AND I hope it says there's a pant load of valuable stuff under the ground down there, eh?   AGM tomorrow!!  Exciting times!!

Today's announcement is positive news. Let's hope that they will add fact based evidence that supports a large, mineable, mineral deposit early in 2024. 43-101 facts combined with the long list of positive elements that make up the Ishkoday story should make the property an attractive target for a mid tier player, private equity group or a major mining company. Until then, I remain ...more

"...the Corporation's Board of Directors believes that a new NI 43-101 technical report could serve as a cornerstone disclosure document that may potentially unlock, facilitate and support a prospective strategic transaction" So...no buyer is currently at the table?  I mean the 43-101 is good news, but any transaction seems very far away.
Comment by BidingTime on Nov 14, 2023 8:58am
....or alternately, it's required to meet the needs of a buyer(s) already at the table
Comment by Randz2000 on Nov 14, 2023 9:01am
...and there's that as well.
Comment by BidingTime on Nov 14, 2023 9:08am
Either way this is positive news that ensures a factual and transparent understanding of the value of the Ishkoday. Either this report comes to fruition during 2024, or there is some rhyme and reason for the NI 43-101, USCG and commentary re 'looking at a variety of opportinities'  to occur in the same press release. Perhaps there's purpose for this, or perhaps it's just a ...more

"Since the announcement, US Capital Global has progressed to the latter stages of its due diligence review process. LAURION remains confident that US Capital Global is well-positioned to help identify and if deemed appropriate by the Special Committee, unlock, potential strategic alternatives and transactional opportunities for the Corporation." hmmm...last PP provides enough money to ...more

Good point Goldbelt kind of makes sense or it could have been the pod cast that I posted last night  Cynthia could have listened to it and said put something out now
Comment by Thebluestroy on Nov 14, 2023 9:15am
I believe (want to believe) that this is the reason. I also largely believe this PR is to put some things said on this forum last week on the record. We'll see what happens. To me, if they were very serious about the 43-101 they would have had a much more expansive drilling program this year and not waited until 2024. They likely added the new property and told the buyer(s) at the table that ...more

I am in agreement with Goldbelt and Thebluestroy.  A couple of points to add,  - Why did they release this PR today? THE AGM is tomorrow, could they not have discussed this in the meeting and followed up with a PR afterwords.  Are they sending a message to someone? - If this is a PR on Strategic Objectives, would it not make more sense to give more details on the objective of the 43 ...more

Read the PR when I was at the gym and rushed home to post this. My thoughts exactly GoldBelt; I normally err on the side of caution but this post really stood out to me as an “make an offer or we’re going public with the results” due to 2 parts:   “Since the announcement, US Capital Global has progressed to the latter stages of its due diligence review process. LAURION remains confident ...more

I think the buyers are always at the table. There are many corporations that would like to have another large property full of gold to mine. I'm sure many CEO's are "in touch" all the time. But the Junior has to prove the assets are in the ground. We had that in 2021, but when the expected and wildly rumoured offer from a private company didn't get completed, new land were ...more

I wish there was a thumbs down option.

At least non of what we say here matters to what will happen with the company, right?
Comment by NoRealPlan on Nov 14, 2023 12:09pm
What part do you dislike? Is it the waiting? Sooner sounds way better, I agree.
Comment by Thebluestroy on Nov 14, 2023 12:46pm
Anytime in the next 12 months is good with me, the longer we wait I just hope to the BO price being higher... I definitely don't mind your predictions about 1.50...4.00 etc
