.50 and special committee

Well we've climbed back to $.50 and hopefully we can break through and sustain being in the $.50s or more. LME seems to have shaken off last week's surprise sale of shares - which is promising given the relatively thin market day to day. 

Question - when the special committee was announced, www the language in the release conclusive enough to confirm if it was in response to a specific transaction opportunity that was being actively consider3d, or could have been (less favourable) to seek and evaluate potential transactions?

I was thinking a similar thing.  Would a Special Committee be formed in order to evaluate and come up with a number PRIOR to opening negotiations with any buyer(s)?

I also would like an update on USCG.  Cynthia mentioned End of Nov/Dec that they were in the final stages of assessment, but was VERY vague.  Curious what they are even working on or assessing? And where are they at with the process.  Is this something you can comment on Steve?  Thanks!

I believe it would have to be a current potential transaction in the pipeline before a special committee is formed. I am fairly positive there was another deal sometime ago that fell through and that was before any special committee was formed so it should be a positive sign that whatever is happening is more advanced than the last opportunity. Who know's though, would love an answer one way ...more
