What the….

ok this stock is making me go Jekyll n Hyde from yesterday to today

Matlas...Where'd you go? Is that you who sold off your shares?! He's been silent since his apparent conversation with Cynthia's husband Roger. I wonder what he was told.  LMEs biggest cheerleader has gone missing.

Also who the F sold down to 36c?! Was there even a bid for this amount of shares at 36c today? Anyone have the level 2 prior to this selloff?

market cap down to $94m !!!
i agree this supposed shareholder value myth is concerning... Cynthia has  almost 19,000 followers on LinkedIn...how many of them invested ?...and if they haven't why not?

Like will Ferrell said in zoolander " I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!"

I mentioned this a few months back. For Matlas to have spoken with Roger and then completely disappear is strange. He said at the time he only sold a small proportion of his shares. What he has done since we don't know. But I am uncomfortable with why he hasn't told us what that conversation entailed.  if he only sold  small portion of his shares and kept the rest then I ...more

From what I recall, Matlas was upset and asking Roger questions and Roger was dismissive basically saying "if you arent happy, sell your shares"..or something to that affect. It rubbed Matlas the wrong way and he went silent. There must have been more to the conversation. I also recall someone (Dam???----sorry if im wrong) saying that they were in contact with Matlas and that he bought ...more

Sounds familiar to me too, twiggie.   I assume Roger updated Matlas to the reality of the current buy out price ($2-$3 range).  Most likely added that there was nobody at the table or that it was pushed out.   Matlas, is an older guy that loved this forum, so for him to vanish and sell off a substantial amount of shares is not very bullish to me. ...especially if he has some sort ...more

sounds like the friends of friends of the cousin of the inlaw related to the brother of someone who once knew someone..... have been correcting the initial speculations. and reality is starting to set in!  still i am happy with a 10x my money buyout at 4$, lets just get it done!

Agreeeeeeeed!!!!

Well my contact who is one or two degrees of separation from the guy in the know informed me of A MUCH higher buyout  than $2/sh. Even if it is $2, that's 5x current price and 2x of the all time high. I understand that Matlas is an older man probably in his retirement years. Perhaps he was told the time line to disposition was longer. Perhaps he was told LME had to change their demand ...more

But WHEN did your contact inform you?  have you had a recent conversation with the person?  just checking because that could make the difference.  Only recently has the "new" target buyout info been filtering down the line.

In autumn 2023 and he doubled his position size since then to almost one million shares good eye bracko and don't think "partner" was listed before...maybe a partnership is what disappointed Matlas? Listen to what Rick Rule says about partnerships, royalty streams  around 15min mark  and at the 36min mark... https://www.miningstockeducation.com/2024/03/i-worked-hard-and ...more

Ok, so please forgive me, but I am trying understand the model identified in the podcast... Under this model, instead of an all-in-one buyout, the operating company would simply pay out a negotiated royalty to the share holders over the lifetime of the mine?   The amount would be based on how much gold is processed in any given year? Thanks to anyone who might be able to explain this.
Comment by GoldBelt on Mar 22, 2024 6:27pm
Yes you pretty much explained it to yourself. It's just that a royalty could be a part of a deal which also involves cash/shares/royalty/merger ... https://www.kenorlandminerals.com/news/kenorland-minerals-options-the-osullivan-project-to-sumitomo-metal-mining-canada-ltd/
Comment by JoJoHairBlo on Mar 22, 2024 7:01pm
Thanks for that.  I wonder if royalties would be considered he same as dividends in the eys of the CRA
Comment by Lambosntendies on Mar 23, 2024 10:58am
I think the simplest way to roll it out would be by administering the royalty as a separate stock upon the buyout.    For example. If the buyout price is $30 (starting on the Matlas koolaid early today!) the deal could be structured in such a way where every shareholder gets $29 in cash and 1 newco share (maybe ishkoday royalties or something like that with its own ticker). The newco ...more

LAURION is also diligently maintaining its focus on pursuing strategic opportunities while successfully meeting exploration and development milestones, further solidifying its favorable position as a potential target or partner. This was post on Cynthia linkdln page  now it says she wants a partner it was never there before in her statements or did I miss something.
Comment by Neil68 on Mar 22, 2024 12:45pm
Actually, it does not say she wants a partner. It plainly says "potential target OR partner."
