Hi there, I've been holding this stock for a while. Can someone explain how a buyout would play out exactly. I realize it seems like an amateur question but in the event of a buyout, how are share holders affected? Thanks.

You can look at any recent buyouts for layouts as well. But generally speaking. Buy out is announced, share holder vote date and details of the transaction will be in the announcement. They will either halt trading before, or announcement after trading hours. The stock price will jump to close to buy out value that day. Over 50 million shares will be moved that day ...more
