adding a marketing function!!!!!     this is an excellent development      any additional buy side support could impact this stock significantly    overdue imo    great to see    bravo cynthia

But why now? Sounds like no BO on the table
Comment by Smitty64 on Nov 21, 2024 3:39pm
Totally agreed. Why invest in marketing efforts now if we have a fish on the line / ace up our sleeve / selling to John....? Shouldn't be a need to increase awareness if a material chance was happening in the short term
Comment by aucotton on Nov 21, 2024 3:49pm
A mix of hopium and a dash of positivity the only explanation I have is that Cynthia granted Jonathon Brown from stockhouse exclusivity to "The Ishkoday Story" and this is chapter 1, chapter 2 "the release" is to come any day.

To attempt to generate competing bids, or at least to appear to shareholders you are trying to generate competing bids?

company makes no sense lol

Why are they putting out this document when it's from August 2024 and there shares are totally different by 6 million  It's not even updated! Maybe I should post the white elephant document ! So people can see what it's all about ! Doug why are they still trying to promote this when you said we don't need to promote LME... I can't remember LME being promoted on any website ...more

Do not post anything that may scuttle a deal...

exactly      dont trade a handful of clicks for allowing this process to unfold      the sale process is clearly underway in some form      anything that could derail it by 1 per cent is not worth it      chat away about the stock but leave the broker to do their work and the lme team to work alongside them unless your goal is ownership ...more

Folks, The media piece commented on is a compliance a_s cover move driven by the LME lawyers re the USCG mistaken release of the most recent pdf re IMG buyout. Possible reasons for the SH media action that came to mind: 1. They Need a plan B aimed at retail investors in the event plan A falls through or has fallen through already. Maybe the stock gets a bit of a pop in the days ahead ...more

I fail to see how this is a mea culpa for the 'Leak' when it was obviously recorded months ago. The interviewer asks, ''s we head into the final months of the year"... If this was recorded yesterday there's only one month left; Not months I'm guessing it was recorded in late August to Sept  It was likely done simply as a marketing video to go along with the " ...more
Comment by TheWrench55 on Nov 22, 2024 6:52pm
To me it sounds like she's saying "as we head into the final month of the year", which would mean it was recorded just recently.
Comment by DAM$ on Nov 23, 2024 12:16am
Try listening again with your ears open. She says "final months " You don't need to look for negatives. I'm shocked we didn't hear "fluff" from all the negative thinkers.  This really was just a fluff piece she did as a business as usual type of thing that she was given the opportunity to do. It isn't a planned marketing ploy for the institutional ...more

This is a transcript from the interview yesterday  Doug can you answer this question please is Cynthia admitting there is a variety of opportunities meaning there is offers on the table when this was taken. She says this in her video and transcript ,or I'm reading this wrong. LAURION is better positioned to evaluate a variety of opportunities, These include acquisitions ...more
Comment by fatlas on Nov 23, 2024 9:50am
I'm not Doug - but to me this quote is about as boilerplate and generic a comment as can be made - better positioned - evaluate - these include - that may do this or do that. A lot of words - all positive and all true - but nothing can be gleaned from it about whatever actual deal work is being done.  Like any good public company exec, she can neither confirm, deny or comment on the ...more

they are masters at being extremely vague on purpose
Comment by fatlas on Nov 23, 2024 12:09pm
They (and ALL publicly traded companies) are absolutely prohibited from being anything but vague - on anything related to M&A. Whether we understood it at the time we bought in or not - this is exactly what we signed up for when we bought into  a public company specifically to benefit from it being sold. It's completely frustrating - I know - until you accept it. Once you do it' ...more

This company is not like most that are on the tsx  over 70 percent own by family and friends  Trying to sell in a unconventional way  500 thousand shares to 1 million shares at ..40 cents now .50 cents wall for the pass year .  No one wants this stock to take off like last time when it rallied up to 1.10 and gold was cheaper
Comment by fatlas on Nov 23, 2024 4:44pm
Different company - different strategy - but exactly the same disclosure rules.  I want it to go up!  And as of that video being made and some advertising being done I think we can conclude that LME does too!!
Comment by DouglasGVass on Nov 25, 2024 2:06am
There is nothing in this transcript that implies that there are offers on the table. If there is an official offer on the table it must immediately be disclosed to the shareholders. USCGP is very motivated and incentivized to orchestrate a buyout. Investment bankers generally don't agree to terms that only pay fees and commissions if they close the deal unless they  are very ...more

What has the special committee been doing for 15 months and why pay Burmi the $50,000 if they haven't been engaged with USCG and evaluating offers for Laurion?
Comment by ProbGetBanned on Nov 25, 2024 11:12am
Well there you have it folks. It doesn't get much more clear than this. There is NO offers at the table at this time.  All the hype from Doug and Roger was all just fluff. "Ace in the sleeve" meant nothing it was all just words used to keep you happy.  for months there has been people on this forum speculating thinking we must have an offer... well we don't. ... or they are in a period of exclusive negotiations with a certain amount of time set aside to complete the financing package ;)  I love how the same piece of information can be viewed as both negative and positive.  Makes for some incredible buying opportunities.
Comment by JrGoldMan on Nov 25, 2024 11:19am
can the drama        an offer and a process to sell are two different things      doug is correct that if an offer is presented shareholders need to be told      there are a lot of miles between interest and negotiation and an offer      you make it sound binary which is silly      let the broker do their job   ...more

key word is "official", what Doug said doesn't mean there aren't any offers/interest
Comment by LTMG2500 on Nov 25, 2024 11:34am
I think it is pretty clear that they are still in the marketing stage..ie. raising money for the sale...that is what Doug said. Cynthia doesn't do that interview if the deal is locked up and waiting to be announced. I'm guessing what Doug said this morning will be the precursor to annoucing the AGM date shortly. He is setting the expectations before the AGM so nobody gets yelled at when ...more
Comment by Sheerms on Nov 25, 2024 11:28am
Literally nothing he said changes anything we didnt already know. No OFFICIAL offer. We knew before if there was an official offer we would be notified, as they have to. How do you guys draw these ridiculous conclusions.
Comment by GoldenBull999 on Nov 25, 2024 11:38am
we should all be used to the fluff and ambiguity that they employ to give away little to no concrete information. what i can say is....if burmi has been paid $50k for nothing, if they've delayed the AGM for nothing, if they've retained USCG after a 15 month stint and they have achieved nothing....then we're all screwed anyway. SOMETHING is going on behind the scenes and I would be ...more

They can't provide specific information on their efforts to sell LME - no matter how much you want them to or how many times they are asked. Call the OSC - call CIRO market surveillance - read some stuff - get educated and stop running this company down for following the rules - no matter how frustrating it is for you to deal with.  They also can't control the share price - another ...more

I mean  "helping" share price by going traditional in the sense of marketing, actually going to mining industry events, sprott etc......not one off videos on stockhouse and a Doug. There has almost certainly been manipulation of this stock by large shareholders to keep the price down at the same time imo....pretty easy to spot. AND Roger's post definitely inflated the price ...more

Agreed. Marketing starts somewhere - and it looks like it just started. I think we are better off - or are going to be better off - not involving ourselves (intentionally or by accident) with other normal industry players. Doesn't always work out well for the existing shareholders.  Stock manipulation is one thing - stock manipulation by LME is an entirely different thing. I know a lot ...more
