The ( Inevitable?) Takeover

I agree entirely with your view as I have expressed earlier..

The reasons...

1...NFG share price is suffering from Assay fatigue even tho those results remain outstanding and continue to advance resource levels

2..Maritime's two gold mills but also capable of base metal processing will be the only two gold mills available for Processing Queensland ore until NFG constructs its own mills which..given the lag in permit, financing and construction even if the decision is made in 2024 ( unlikely imo )...won't be for at least another 5 years

(3) Maritime's two gold mills have a separated ore milling capacity of 1 million tons per year.
Given the high grade of Queensland ore, this will meet NFGs production goals for up to a decade  due to construction time for more than one or two open pit mines

( 4 ) Even then, replacement value will probably exceed $ 750 m

( 5 ) Maritime mills are the only source of milling and mettalurgy for the half dozen or so other advanced gold companies

( 6 ) Point Rousse is fully permitted with a tailings facility with plenty of excess volume

(7 ) All NL gold is sulphides and Maritime has Floatation facilities to process those, store  and ship to refiners from its Point Rousse DeepWater port

(8 ) Both Dundee and Sprott are investment Houses available for both financing and development and they are major Maritine shareholders who would dearly love more NFG shares .

So, I foresee a takeover by NFG based on Equity with Maritime's exploration projects spun out to both NFG and MAE shareholders as a separate listed company under the same symbol .

This way, eveyone wins including shareholders of both companies.
My TO price is in the $175 m range in NFG shares.

Well written NP, although the shares of all mining companies have been horribly depressed, I still believe that we may not have seen the bottom yet. If this middle east war keeps escalating there could easily be an oil embargo placed on the west like we saw in 1973. This time it will be much more serious and will crash their debt based system. Although physical gold will go higher the mining ...more

We have plenty of oil and gas in North America for the short haul. Besides, high oil prices means high inflation which is positive for POG but will force interest rates downward . Made a fortune in 2009-9. My only investments now are gold stocks ..

I appreciate all your posts.... and kind of follow you Nozzpack. But the oil and gas we have in North America.   Well, out east here.  The Irvings , the biggest refiners in Canada, import most of their oil that they refine.  hundreds and hundreds of thousands of barrels a day.  Most from Saudi Arabia, then the states. So we are not protected from oil price increases ...more
