Potential Gold Content in Deer Cove Talc Deposit
Ubiquitous gold in til exists almost everywhere in the Deer Cove area, extending at high grades to offshore bottom sediments .
It makes sense that this is the source of carbonate sourced gold in the 17 m ton Deer Cove talc deposit.
As to the grade of that gold in talc , it's easy to select grades from til samples that are high.
However, to be very conservative , I have chosen just 1/10 of a gram per ton of talc .
This computes to about 55,000 ounces of gold contained within the 17 million Deer Cove Talc deposit.
Separation of that gold from talcum powder by gravity should be routine .
This is a very coarse estimate intended to demonstrate that the talc deposit , being world class by itself, can be a substantial contributor to Maritime's revenue stream once it is fully developed..
