Consolidation of Nuggett Pond Mill at Point Rousse

  • The Nugget Pond gold circuit has  an existing carbon-in-pulp leach plant that last operated in 2012 and was previously used to process ore from the Hammerdown mine with high gold recoveries of 97%. The gold circuit is located within an active copper processing and tailings storage complex currently operated by Rambler. Maritime was supposed to complete a feasibility study to determine the optimal configuration to operate both the Nugget Pond gold circuit and copper concentrator concurrently and independently without any impact on Rambler’s current operations.  Rambler planned to consolidate its operations proximal to the Ming copper mine near Point Rousse.Firefky has taken the first step by shipping its concentrate through Maritime's Deep water port. It makes eminient economic sense to consolidate both Nuggett Pond plants at Point Rousse. This would convert milling capacity at Point Rousse to 4000 tons per day ( 1 million tons per year )with the flexability to mill copper concentrate and gold concurrently , or alternately .Such a move would fully provide Shoreline with its 1 million ton aggregate capacity and as the Ming copper contains gold, the gold Gravity circuits currently being installed at the Aggregates wash plant would substantially increase its gold recoveries . Everybody wins
