Is BHP, Xstrata, AngloAm. exiting Colombia... & giving up???

I noticed that the Major miners were shutting down their Coal mines but did they give up on Exploration? Did they already kick the tires on Copper or Silver in Colombia? Otherwise Ivanhoe Mines said they're kicking the tires on exploration in N+S America... unclear who's looking at these copper results or the NDA (non disclosure agreements). If the Pay-Zone is 0.5 to 5 meters thick... early days...
