Impressive Performance

As is often the case, Sept was a lousy month for markets and commodities in particular. With that in mind, the performance of MDW (up 17%) has been extremely impressive. Clearly there are lots of investors who feel that this company has a very bright future. GLTA

With targets ranging from $1.50 to $2.00, any takeover bid would have to be at least in the $1.75 area. But you're right, the company has the ability to do very well on its own. GLTA

Now that the price of gold has reversed course (up $25 this morning) after a release of the Fed Minutes indicated that there will be no early interest rate increase in the US, we better raise the minimum takeout offer to $2.00. GLTA

The only take over offer would come from Barrick since it is the largest shareholder and carrying our biggest project. However Barrick is not performing very well to put it mildly. i think 2 would be low ball offer and not sure if it would be accepted. I would personally reject it.
