Akiba

It seems as though there's quite the favoritism  toward another forum to answer what I'm sure we'd all consider somewhat pertinent!!
Focus on what you know.
Becoming a wee bit suspicious of the precarious situation. Almost as though it's a pre empted skit or something??????

Favortism?   It's like choosing a favorite kid (she knows which one she is).   There has been a seller in multiple size of the ADV.  it's got to clear for the stock to move.  I don't think that was the reason we went from 40 to 17.  Part of that was operations (mar-Aug had metallurgical issues that are now resolved -- I've spoken about that a bunch ...more

ADV??

Labatie7: Average Daily Value Traded   Average Daily Value Traded (ADV) means, in respect of a Share, the sum of Daily Trading Volumes over a specified period divided by the number of Exchange Trading Days that fall in the specified period.

Sorry about that.  Yes, I was basically saying the seller is larger than the underlying liquidity.  It's somewhat compounded by the fact that he doesn't want to engage in a block or just hit the bid.  There are two sides to the liquidity coin.  It can go in the other direction too.  I have a sense we're nearly there.

why wuold an old boardmember want to sabatoge price?

I don't know if it's an intentional sabotaging but I can easily see instructions to a broker to sell a certain percentage of the volume every day or a fixed amount of stock every day. It keeps the pressure on especially as long term investors like many on this board are more likely to sell on weakness than anything else.

That's exactly it.... The weak sell.  Stop selling and you'll be rewarded. Im looking forward to next quarter results. Akiba states stock price declined due to metallurgical issues and now they're resolved (apparently) so why the stock price remain at an all time low  or near all time low!!??? Hmm.... We just need a fantastic quarter and we will be finally back up to ...more

To be fair, if the selling is coming from old board members or guys like Barry who I think has said he sold as the stock went lower, there really isn't much selling as a percentage of the float. Our real problem is passive buyers as there is no reason to buy it aggressively without competition and with steady supply.
