Interesting to note that MMG's CEO Greg Johson talks about Alexco taking out Metallic as a given but moreso in that he suggests a major could consolidate the two companies/district if MMG proves up a discovery or discoveries.
Clynt and Greg go way back to the early AXU days so they have a good idea on what's coming.....
"....or,if we find something that looks interesting enough-another Bermingham-that's our target-we think there's room for 50 million oz + scale deposits in the district and if we find one of those it could attract one of the bigger silver producers to come in and buy both parties, snap it together as a tier-one asset.
Even at today's level of production for Alexco-4 to 5 million oz a year-would be a #1 or #2 assets even in a big company like a Pan American or CDE.
So,this already is an asset-in terms of the district, the Keno district-that would make a difference to one of those big producers and if you take the blue sky potential on Metallic's ground you've got a district.... that could be a billion oz silver district- a tier one asset for even the largest silver producers.
We could make it to a resource this year (in late 2021) certainly,if not,we are building well towards it early next year.....a core objective,a core part of our business strategy is to get to resource, grow those resources,de-risk them.We are single-mindedly focused on making sure we're exploring on the best priority targets and following up on those to advance them to resource stage."
As investors in Keno Hill we would like to see a resource count and then majors expressing interest in the district based upon oz in the ground and potential for further expansion.
Clynt says they will have proven up Bermingham Deep and a new resource count in Q4/20.
Greg is saying an initial resource in late 2020 or early 2021.
Alexco should surpass 150 million oz and I am speculatively hopeful for a resource of 50 million oz for MMG on their Keno package.
If silver can break out above $29 it should be off to the races.
