Selinsing Gold Mine area enlarged and stripped
I just used Google Earth to take a top down and 3D view of the Selinsing mine and I was surprised by how much bigger it looked than a year or so ago.
Plus there is virtually no vegetation whatsoever within the mining area .....and it looks like every bit of over burden has been removed.
We do know that pushbacks of the walls of the various pits have had to be done to expose the new ore and build new mining benches to begin development mining for the FP but I did not foresee such a massive alteration ...and expansion of the mining area .
Presuming my previous visual recollection is correct , the mining and development activites are much much greater than what I had considered would be needed
Others might confirm or otherwise my visuals ..

Last year there was no vegitation either. Seems event the weeds won't touch this. As for the bigger hole, zoom out. Not much has changed at all.

One fault with Google Earth, sometimes the pictures are a couple of years old.... check the date/time of the pictures.. ..... Richard
