Drill Results

I was looking over the drilling results and so far it looks like that there was less than 10 drill holes that didn't hit notable gold, I think 2 or 3 lost water and were abandoned, but MOST of them hit good grades over large intercepts.

The one thing I would have done however would have been to drill 50 m centers in a good grid throughout the property, not the 12.5m as they seem to have. This way they could have had a large inferred deposited rather than a smaller measured deposit, but on the other hand a measured deposit is always the best even though it may not be the best use of funds for a JR.

Thanks Fotus for the great link to all the 2011 drill results...no doubt an exceptional success rate for hits, plus all of the high grade and large width intercepts. You mentioned 12.5 spacing, I think that even though lots of the "sections" are 12.5m apart, that the holes along these sections are such that most of the spacing still works out at about 25m...in other words ...more

My guess is that the 67m grading 3.75 g/t in drill hole VL-11-246 paralleled by 58m grading 2.8 g/t in hole VL-11-258 will do a lot to change the gold content of the deposit.

Absolutely....many 10's of thousands of OZ new from here,,,maybe even 10 times 10K's just from here alone....That was my thinking as these results were coming in...i do not believe that many have yet come to understand the significance of this area. I am hoping to see this proved up in the soon the be release 43-101...C.Gert

Did they place the three holes on a map anywhere so one can see the location of 378, 379, 380 in relation to previous drilling?   Cheers,   JR.

Hey Fostus....I just went to MOA's web site and found a Sectional Map(10,512,5) that gives a great picture of the LPond Deposit here and shows the 2 holes you mentioned; #246 and #258. Check these out to see their exception width/grade and their situation within the deposit here...quite exceptional for sure. There is also another very interesting one in this section - hole #287...go down and ...more

Gert I like your post. It gives a good insight into what the upper layers of the deposit look like. What would really be interesting is seeing the historical drill holes added to the model. There is a lot of tonnage added if the recent drilling related to the core area is added to the historical drilling with larger step outs. The model could increase by 50% in area (my guess). What I also can' ...more

Hey JR...I have my "guesses" of what the new 43-101 will deliver this time. I have written them down on a note pad for both the measured category and inferred. I did this so as to be accountable to myself. At this point, I am not going to post these guesses, but will say that due to the 25,000m program in 2011, the conclusion is that the measured category will show a significant increase ...more
