Spectacular drill results, ridiculous SP

Several past press releases and comments by C. Gert have alluded to the possibility that Leprechaun may be even richer at depth. I never followed up on these suggestions because previous drilling had not really explored this possibility. I have spent the morning looking at other Canadian resources with similar profiles and learning about orogenic deposits. Call me crazy, but Detour Lake seems to have similar geology and structure to VL. An orogenic deposit with a steeply dipping sedimentary layer, overlayed by a deformation zone as the boundary. Gold found in quartz veins located in iron rich volcanic flows (trondjhemite??) with mafic dyke intrusions. A strike length of  2 km (LP to J. Frank) or more.

If interested you should view the Detour gold site. The drill results (depth, interval length, and grade) are strikingly similar to VL, especially today's results. Detour was first a shallow pit mine of 1-2 million oz. (sound familar). Further drilling that trended 3 km along strike to the west (sound familiar) and at depths below 150 m found millions of more ounces.

I know this is pure speculation, but even if a Detour type deposit is a long way from being proven, it may be possible. If anyone has more experience in this type of geology and can confirm or deny these similarities I would be very interested in your comments.

Yes for sure WW I have had a similar take on DGC...It is amazing that you have picked up on this same thing today...DGC is a $24 stock now. If the Leprechaun deposit was in Ontario or Quebec, it would likely have already hit multimillions of OZ's...the good thing though is that shares can still be bought are these crazy low prices. These ...more

Thanks for the comment CG, nice to know I am not imagining things. I am excited to see more exploratory drilling results after months of necessary, but tedious drilling to define the open pit. It will be very interesting to see if the similarities to Detour lake continue over the next year. The Detour Lake deposit is already 15 million ounces over 3 km. I always believed there was more than a ...more

The share price is what it is. Someone is keeping a lid on this equity as they know a financing is needed soon. It is always a race to discovery in the junior explorer sector. The question is, is enough gold discovered in time to boost the share price or does the company dilute themselves to oblivion before the discovery.

I wasn't expecting 3 ounces of gold per ton. The numbers for the step out drilling exceeded what I saw for drill results at Detour lake for last year. One thing to keep in mind is that MOZ is showing some excitement in their latest press release. They have seen the cores going into the lab. They are excited enough to try down hole geophysical testing. They clearly are talking about step ...more
