Mountain Lake Resources Inc > MOA & MOZ merger??

MOA & MOZ merger??

IMO it is becoming more likely that MOA will be taken out or merged in the next 6 months. MOA has made no indication they are looking for a new CEO, not even in the recent MD&A, and the interim CEO/Chairman is in his 70's and ready for retirement. Also Peter Woodward has years of business experience that would be valuable in any negotiations. Although a takeover is possible, the easiest and most logical deal would be a merger of equals between MOA and MOZ. Such a merger would immediately increase the MOA SP 30% by eliminating the discount MOA has relative to MOZ. The merged company would also be worth more than the sum of the two, as the future of VL would be less complicated wrt equity financing or an acquisition deal. The MOA AGM is planned for the first week in June (announcement can be found on SEDAR). I would think there will have to be some clarification over MOA's future before then.

Drill Cores: There should be more results announced next week. Data is still pending from at least 16 Drill holes that were reported as complete in the April 3 release. Sometimes the results are delayed when there is high grade gold because the assays have to be done twice. This was likely the case with the most recent 8 drill holes, could it be the same for the pending drill holes??

Have to agree that a merger is possible although a takeover can't be ruled out. Would appear that a merger would benefit MOZ down the road when they sell or are taken over. A lot will depend on the next set of results from the lab. If the grades are high and consistent and are step holes then it gets real interesting. If they are re-testing the cores because of high numbers then we will pass ...more

If MOZ wants to buy out MOA interest in VL what would you estimate the price to be paid by MOZ to be. I beleive that both companies know there are more oz's there than the 43-101 currently shows.

I think you hit the nail on the head WW. With the appointment of Woodward it would seem AS is shopping the company. Let's hope he keeps the shareholders in mind.   GLTA

VRM, any deal between MOA and MOZ would be stock only. MOA shareholders would be issued a number of MOZ shares determined by the negotiated deal. IMO the only way MOA would get a 100% cash deal is if the Chinese bought the company (unlikely, but my favorite scenario). Non-Ferrous Metals must know about MOA because of the antimony at Little River and Chinese companies like to invest in Newfoundland ...more

If there are mergers would it be MOZ buying out MOA....or Stillwater buying out MOA....or Stillwater buying out both MOZ and MOA? Or MOA partnering Little River and/or Glover Island. There are lots of partnering, merger or buy-out possibilities. IMHO they are all good for MOA shareholders!

I was thinking the same as you folks here. MOZ has always done well for shareholders and perhaps the sum of both companies merged may be better for MOZ long term. One has to take into consideration that Stillwater Mining (SWC)holds a large position in MOZ and Stillwater is diversifying and growing their operations from Platinum Group Metals to other resources. If Stillwater were interested in ...more
