Let's Develop Questions to Ask on the Feb 17 earnings call

Idea: Let's turn this next call into an accountability session for the Board, including the shareless CEO and Board member Proctor.

As many of us as possible should get on the call and be ready to ask one or more questions to hold these guys accountable.

Possible Questions:

1. To Proctor: why have you chosen to not buy one share of this public company that you expect others to buy and hold?

2. To Matthews and Proctor: Why do you have such a large membership on the Board when other more dynamic companies seem to function well with at most five board members? What is their value added? And if it is so great, why do the other Board members, like the CEO, own no shares?

3. What has Mike Danforth achieved in terms of tangible results and what has the Board set out as his goals for the next year?

4. I am sure you can add even better questions so that we have a list to draw on during the call to avoid another piece of scripted theatre that we have witnessed in the past calls.

That is a good idea. I have a question. Why hasn't a strategic review process been announced to look at options to enhance shareholder value with the valuation so low for a prolonged period of time?

here is the only question that needs to be asked and should encompass every other question... WHY THE FUK HAVNT YOU DONE ANYTHING!?!?!

Additional quesiton: 5. To share owning members of the Board of Directors on the call: Virtually all junior growth companies incentivize their C-Suite members, including the CEO, with modest salaries and substantial stock option incentives to ensure that the interests of the C-Suite align with the interests of shareholders who have invested risk capital in the business. Both Matthews and Linton ...more

I don't think they allow small potatoes investors like us to ask questions. Everytime I listen to their earnings calls, it's always the same big firms asking the questions.

do you recall what firms were asking the questions ? Maybe we can email them directly and see if they will ask any of our questions

This is very true.  I am on many different calls from different companies and only once did I ever hear an individual investor ask a question - or he/she was permitted to.  I think companies know that if they limit it to the analysts, they are probably not going to get a question out of left field (as good as the question would be) - I can't imagine any analyst asking why Proctor ...more

why not ask these questions on various social media platforms. Appears to have some utility?

because they ways hide behind the typical investor relations responses. Catch them with their pants down at the conference call. There they can't hide behind the regular we r going to grow, expect growth same old nonsense

don't get me wrong, I really like your idea LWillingdon, I just have the feeling it will end the same way as our emails. If you'd like to try that idea , I'd encourage you to do so! Any information we can collect is always appreciated!
