Disappointed

I have been a shareholder for as long as Martello has been public now. I was lucky and did not invest at the ipo but got in after the share price started to fall. I use to think Martello was just starting out like every other small company does had a good quarter then a bad one you know bouncing back and forth. Recently I have started to realize that the complacency of this company has costs us opportunities to grow and salaries of executives are killing are profits margins. I have never posted on this message board but feel after reading posts for three years that I have to voice my opinion on has discouraged I am as a shareholder with the companies inability to grow shareholder value even though they seem to think they are. Same share price range 15-20 cents for almost two years now is not acceptable.

SP effectively at the low of its public life. Better companies go through growing pains pre-IPO and then hit the ground running. Looking back, Elfiq was acquired after the IPO and disposed of less than two years later. Can't remember the last time I've seen someone make an acquisition and give up on it so quickly - pretty well an admission that a mistake was made and when you are talking ...more

Is this Ottawa's worst ever IPO?   Isn't anyone embarrassed?  Someone should be.

The only hope we have is this partner program yields new contracts and somehow we get Microsoft partnership status. I’m still holding out hope that this sinking ship can be saved on those two things helping with the success of this company.

I wouldn't hold your breath. This company is an absolute joke and they are just delaying the inevitable. The next news to look forward to is a reverse split which will be the final nail in the coffin followed by another round of raising capital.

they've already stated that the reverse split will follow a peice of positive news... The writing is on the wall... A reverse split for a company of this size, in this disastrous state is going to be fatal. I would love to hear someone's take on how a reverse split helps this situation?

It doesn't... just prolongs the inevitable but not by much. I'm sure Patience will have some strong reasoning for why it's good lol

The problem I can’t seem to figure out is why this company does such a horrible job of marketing. How hard is it for a digital company to market the product they sell to the customers. All I ever see are retweet’s of interviews they did months ago and reshares on Facebook of the same posts

Marketing is everything.
Comment by steevee84 on Jun 30, 2021 9:31am
the problem is much deeper than that.. the problem is nobody needs or wants the products, period. Like I said yesterday, once an employee hits send three times on an email or tries to access word or Excel and it doesn't work, they are simply going to move on to some other work for the time being, it's sad that MTLO had to say that bit about employees clicking send over and over again and ...more

Steevee, I wouldn't be worried about the reverse split, it just makes no sense for them to do it. The major concern is their modest growth in the next year with decreased profitability and margins. They will not be able to achieve positive cash flows for years. All the previously communicated upside vanished, they are not able to show that they are heading towards the right direction. There ...more

Seems to me like there is a reason that insiders, including directors, did not want to buy any of this. Just curious whether Sir Matthews is starting to feel like a little bit of a sucker, although his investments in MTLO are still probably a much smaller percentage of his net worth compared to many retail shareholders.
Comment by steevee84 on Jun 30, 2021 12:06pm
let me remind you canyousayiii, that Mathews last investment of 1million dollars was the equivalent of a regular retail investor investing around 700$ if you're talking net worth. I don't think he really cares
