including 0.75 meters of 13.60 g/t Au, 430.00 g/t Ag, 0.12% Cu, 1.58% Pb and 0.93% Zn

including 0.50 meters of 1.96 g/t Au, 27.40 g/t Ag, 0.05% Cu, 1.16% Pb and 1.63% Zn

Aurea Mining Inc. is pleased to report that all assays have now been received from 3,985 meters of drilling completed in 2007 for its Monte Alban property in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Results are from fourteen shallow drill holes that tested the San Jorge Vein system along a two kilometre strike length in the southeast corner of the property. The area was historically mined for precious metals but was never before explored using modern exploration methods. Aurea's Phase 1 drill program tested the system below previous workings and along strike extensions of the veins.

Assays from the first eight holes were previously reported in a press release dated February 4, 2008. In that release best intercepts included drill hole DSJ-03 with 3.95 meters of 0.92 g/t Au, 19.36 g/t Ag, 0.18% Cu, 2.3% Pb and 2.42% Zn and drill hole DSJ-08 with 2.10 meters of 0.11 g/t Au, 143.21 g/t Ag, 1.54% Cu, 7.65% Pb and 9.41% Zn.

The company continues to be very encouraged by results to date which have confirmed the potential for significant gold, silver and base metal mineralization on the property. The success of the Phase 1 drill program will be followed up with more drilling and drill delineation in 2008.

An additional 1015 metres in seven drill holes was drilled in 2008 in the Chicharra area, which completes Aurea's 5000 metre Phase 1 drill program. The Chicharra area is thought to be an extension of the San Jorge Vein system. It is located about five kilometres on strike to the northwest and has over twenty veins exposed at surface that vary from less than a metre to over fifteen metres in width. Assays are pending for the Chicharra drill holes.

The following table shows details of all assays received from the 2007 drill holes. Widths are core lengths, not true widths. Until more information is available true widths should be considered no more than 75% of the reported lengths. Drill hole locations can be seen on Aurea's website at www.aureamining.com along with other maps related to this release.

Ken Thorsen, a director of the company, is the Qualified Person under NI 43-101 for Aurea Mining and has reviewed and approved the contents of this news release.

I just checked out MXA's chart.  wow, certainly one of the sickest charts i've seen.I've had great success buying when the charts look the ugliest.  Maybe MXA will be the exception to the rule.    Is my pessimism showing?    I knew i should have bought NOT instead.  Last time i listen to my sister's boyfriend's neighbor's cousin ...more

wow, the chart looks worse by the day.    Investing in a name like MXA is enough to convince an investor to buy the Prcious Metal ETF's or a diversified mutual fund.  I'm going to make my fortune elsewhere. MXA!!!  Your shares can go UP now!  I'm out...  and Good riddance to ya..

Okay, I confess,  I still have all my shares.  I thought if the market gods thought i was out, they would prove my sale to be very stupid.    They usually do.  Is that a nice saucer bottom forming on MXA's chart?    It should be at a dime a share.
