It depends on the application, Li and Na are both in the same Family but are very different (periods) when it comes to applications: hot or cold, stationary or mobile, size, storage capability, charge and discharge rates, just to name a few characteristics

sodium ion battery is cheaper,better in winter,faster charger,which makes up for less capacity
