Great news

No doubt they like what they are seeing in the drill core. I'm hearing the geologists on site are saying it's the most spectacular drill core they have ever seen in their careers due to the amount of visible gold. In the videos released by Newfound Gold you can see the red tape wrapped around the drill core whereever they see visible gold when logging the core.

They send drill core to the lab on a rush basis means they are seeing visible gold and obviously the decision to double the drill program to 200 000 meters was based on what they are seeing visually because by now the geologist are getting a really good understanding of what is going on.

Take note that they will be drilling on the nearby parallel JBG fault which they say they have 3 km of prospective targets and continue drilling on the Appleton faults over 5 km. These are big fault structures and they are seeing lots of visible gold in the drill core. The Queensway project is next to the Trans Canada Highway ( actually runs through it) the power line runs across the property between the Keats and Lotto Zones, it's only a few km from existing towns and an international airport and less than a half hour drive from a sea port. It literally doesn't get any better for a mining company. When Quinton Hennigh says the Queensway property is a slam dunk the guy knows what he's talking about. He says it is a company maker with potential to discover between 5 and 10 million ounces of gold. I have no doubt that NFG will eventually end up valued at several multiples to its current valuation.  Enjoy the ride.

What I lack in the bullboard message here with those drill results, is euphoria, makes me wonder, is it not as big as I think? Or is it already coold down?

There weren't any drill results released in this news release just an announcement stating that New Found Gold will double the drill program from 100k to 200k meters. I suspect they will have more drill results next week. There has been so many great drill results released over the past few months that investors might be experiencing euphoria overload but the Queensway property ...more

Well you don't double your drilling that large unless you are sure you are onto something and with all this red flags of VG expectations are running high. Even these rush cores are not coming up yet so when they do come out expectations are so high that if they are less than stellar we could have a pullback or kneejerk. It is time to get the sugarplums out of our head as this is going to ...more

when it comes to junior mining stocks, the concept of "euphoria" as being a prequisite for determining the reality (or lack thereof) of a potential "find" is not a necessary ingredient. Yes, proven spectacular results will ultimately create euphoria, but keep in mind that all too often during the early stage programs the euphoria is "created" by P&D crews (pump ...more

Listen blind melon chitlin or whatever you wanna call yourself You do not spend the money on a 200,000 drill program unless you know something is there. I have not seen a drill program that big that did not find anything have you? It is a monster and we are just establishing size. Just because everyone gets exuberant  when there is VG does not deter from the company. No groping around in ...more

It's next week boys!!   There is currently a significant backlog of samples from the 2020 drilling at the assay lab including a significant number of samples submitted on a rush basis. Additional results are expected by next week.

I think NFG shareholders will be well rewarded for their loyalty in 2021. Next week we should get additional assay results that hopefully confirm what geologists are visually seeing in the drill core and based on prior drill results we should see high grade gold intersections anywhere from a few meters to perhaps 20 meters or more depending on what zones are encountered. These fault ...more

" I have not seen a drill program that big that did not find anything have you? " umm ... well, one name does come to mind; not that I'm suggesting any semblance of a repeat scenario here  :)   That would be "Bre-X", who had big funds buffalowed, and were assisted in their astonishing and spectacular "gold salting" piracy by one of the most ...more

Do I suggest any semblance of similarity between Bre-X and NFG ?  Of course not ! Then why would you bring it up? You bring up the biggest fraud ever manifested in the mining industry and you say you are not being perjoritive? Take your blindness elsewhere IKE (oh yes PLEASE)
Comment by Gord_Alberta on Jan 06, 2021 8:19pm
Bre-X was the first individual stock I ever owned. I bought at $5 a share; sold a few weekds later at $7. Made a 40% profit. Should have sold at $200; yet at least I made a profit... LOL
