Listing on NYSE American is a good guess. Only takeover candidates I can see are either LAB and/or NFLD. If it's a takeover, I would expect NFG's share price to drop. but again, just a guess....

Not a takeover....what for? Why would NFG take that risk here...when no one else but them have something proven....those companies are trading at a premium on NFG's coattails... NYSE listing....possible PP...also possible someone has been holding the stock back on strong gold this week but they have plenty of cash so maybe someone special other than Sprott wanted in... Spectacular drill ...more

This is most likely not about "fantastic drill results" for a couple reasons. Generally, great news is not buried late on a Friday of a long weekend. Actually, the opposite is done. Furthermore, NFG was involved in major acquisitions recently and companies generally wait to release any material news(especially if its favorable to them). It is most like house-keeping news about the US ...more

I think it's because the stock has not been halted before on fantastic drill results.....but you could be right if it's stunningly spectacular......?

Here's another shot in the dark re. guessing the reason behind the halt: LAB is flat today NFLD went from 1.07 at around 12:at around 12:25pm to 1.23 last I checked......
