eastern front

All quiet on the eastern front.....Newfoundland being our real most eastern province

The quiet before the storm .....the storm of uncomprimizing success and oportunity.

Those that do no pay heed may very well be lost in kaos of self deprecation of should

have, could have and would have.......so painful is the life of those that do not believe

in the land of butter. Butter here, butter there, butter everywhere in this land called the

rock. The roads will be paved with it.....the signs are already marked. Oh Mega, GGG,

Dan,Ethos.....how long before we take a picture beneath the sign marked

Happy Valley.....or was their a better sign on the property you like better?

The time of reckoning draws near that will bring us to glorious success in the

land Gochun (Butter).

What sign of success should we hold in our hands for that picture.

Champagne is to gouache ....mite i suggest the more symbolic of screech...

maybe rum in honor of our pillaging (dodging the raping). It would make us

feel more like pirates or at least Corsairs.

Success is on such a certain path....be patient my brothers. IKE

The sign I liked the most on one of the roads out there at Queensway North was Golden Valley. The entire valley is full of high grade gold so that best represents that area of the property. Rome wasn't built in a day so we have to get through this slow summer period and then it's off to the races in September. My favourite month of the year and I'm expecting lots of ...more

My apologies I interpreted the Golden valley as the Happy valley . I guess I took artistic license. I do not want to petition the company  to change the signage but Golden Valley will always be the Happy  valley because it implies that it is full of butter and that makes me  happy.....I guess Bobby Vinton said it best when he implied the  golden kiss we do everyday waiting ...more

The silence at this time is particularly unusual. NFG has been silent and Q.H has been silent. Hoiw can Q.H. fail to memntion NFG in two consecutive Crescat Capital Friday podcasts and does he ever have a lot to talk about with NFG.  The list goes on, Megacopper has been silent, along with El Drego and Bluechipper. The Greek is suspecting some sort of event will occur very soon with NFG.  ...more

NFG has a major shareholder divesting of it's position. Stockhouse & CEO posts have indicated that mgmt offered to help place the shares so as to not impact the market price and was refused. As placing such a large block on the market will decrease the SP temporatily and after having had their offer to help rejected -- it is NOT in the best interest of shareholders for mgmt to "waste ...more

NFG has a major shareholder divesting of it's position. Any suggestions as to who this seller may be?

To be clear -- ALL information is from published or bulletin board sources and I have no direct involvment in or knowledge of specific details. The rumour is Rob McEwen personally needs at least $40M by Friday to finance his new copper mine in Argentina. There may also be additional funds required to repay McEwen loans from Sprott Financing. It was announced publicly ~3/4 weeks ago. McEwen was ...more

McEwen owned ~7% of NFG.

Thanks - perhaps it was 15M shares (not 15%) -- was going from memory as I didn't even know about NFG until recently  --- wish I had known earlier though!!

I am a little confused why you guys are bringing this up again. I told everyone this was going on in the background 2 or 3 weeks ago. Things are done and we are just dealing with the seasonality of the  summer holidays. Just because things are quiet and boring don't have  to just bring up old stories IMHO IKE

why not worry about the next NFG? https://www.reddit.com/r/NewfoundlandGoldStock/comments/orwkwf/ethos_gold_explodes_germany_31holding_100k_shares/ LOL reddit knows right? IKE

I'm pretty sure you are correct that Rob McEwen owns about 7% of NFG. I have only heard of him possibly wanting to sell his position in NFG here on this bullboard so I'm not sure if it's true or not. It does make sense since he has clearly made a lot of money on NFG and apparently he wants to finance some copper play in South America. Personally I would not sell a high ...more

Thank you Kewl, Well reasoned.  We should all buy a few more (I just did). El D

I would guess you're probably referring to McEwen.  Not so sure about no other insiders being allowed to getting involved though. On the Exploits insider sale to Sprott, which took Eric to over 30%, it was arranged as a private transaction. The big difference here though, is whether Eric and Rob would be able to agree on a correct $ value, since it would be be an enormously larger ...more

BB -- I don't recall reading anywhere that Eric Sprott would have been involved in a private sale should one have occurred. All I read was that mgmt had approached McEwen and offered to facilitate a private sale so as to minimize the effect on SP and was turned down. Have no idea who they might have had in mind for such a move - perhaps Sprott - perhaps not.         - ...more

Kewl - I'm not saying that Eric was making a move.  Just saying that the possibility wasn't necessarily totally out of the realm of possibilities (if they could agree on a mutually acceptable price, and if it met the acceptance of the authorities). Eric's buy that took him to ~30% on Exploits was a private agreement with a company (I've got the name of the company some place, ...more

Blindboy if you are not blind you are indeed at least myopic. Did you every think that having a decent share offering in the states they may  have told Eric to keep his hands off as they have secured his shares to be  listed in the states along with the 100 mill already secured.  They would not have to even list this on sedar as they are existing shares  being swamped onto ...more
