A question for those in the know on this great board. Given the discussions of having had to go deep at Fosterville to find the best resources, and given the discussion that the NFG resource is similar and that likely there are even better targets deeper, why hasn't NFG drilled deeper yet?
Or, when do they plan to do that?

Well erieshore in my humble opinion they already have. Inadvertently you have given a double entendre...at Fosterville they were already deep (4 or 5 000 feet) before they encountered epizonal orogenic structures and QH had the advice to drill straight down. They are now down 200 m from that point and still encuring ore. At Keats NFG were hitting at 10 to 15 m from surface so when in one of ...more

The erosional level at Queensway is much deeper than at Fosterville, meaning, what is deep down at Fosterville is near surface at Queensway. They will eventually drill deeper.  There is still lots of near surface, high grade gold to find.

Meaning, if I understand your comment, there has been a much greater amount  of erosion on the top of Queensway than in Fosterville. This translates to the higher grade ore being closer to surface as the top level has been eroded and dispersed.  This is a benefit as the cost of extraction of the higher grade is less costly in theory.
