Range bound

NFG's range bound trading shows no sign of letting up. I thought, hoped, believed in fact, that the $7.95 close on Friday signaled the end of it. Apparently not because here we are as I write with the stock down .30 from Friday's close. I wonder what it will take for it to break out. Perhaps it will be a monster intercept. Maybe a major will take large position as happened to Diamond Fields with Voisey's Bay. I don't know but what I do know is that it will eventually break out and move to a higher level. The problem is that it's extremely boring waiting for it to happen.

I agree with you wajac:   it's extremely boring waiting for it to happen. Fortunately, the volume remains low and there is no great pressure to sell. In my opinion this situation is due to continue during the Spring, since the drilling activity will be affected by bad weather (thaw).

$200 or $300?  The so called "war premium" can't possibly be more than $100, and I suspect it's less than that.  If we get a $200 or $300 selloff in gold, don't expect it to last long enough to get hungry waiting for it to rebound.

Even if the war in the Ukraine ends tomorrow and I hope it does but the damage is already done. You older guys think back to the 70's and the oil embargo and how long it actually lasted. I'll let you think about that one and I'll respond later. I was just talking to a guy in the forestry business and he says he is spending huge amounts of extra money in diesel right now ...more

Keep your eyes on 2024. By then the US will be well and truly cactus economically. I wonder how much more gold another 250,000 metres of drilling will discover by then. The paper shufflers will have disappeared by then as well. 2024 is not far away

Yeah I'm not sure what I did with that post. It got mixed up in your post somehow. Lol  Here it is again below. Just talk about the big picture. Nothing earth shatter.   Nobody responded to my comment about about the oil embargo in the 1970's. Most would be surprised to know the oil embargo only last 6 months from late 1973 to the spring of 1974. This is when it ...more

Are you not following what is happening? The labs are backed up, lots of core waiting to be analyzed, nothing to do with spring breakup.

Yes it hard to watch NFG trade at these levels. The 52 week low on the stock is getting higher all the time which I regard as a positive. Within a few weeks the 52 week low will be well above $6 cnd. Most new investors that look at these gold juniors that is one of the first things they look at. Just an observation on my part but important all the same for new investors ...more

I count only one analyst following the stock (perhaps Crescat).  Management doesn't have to flog the stock because they are sitting on a giant pile of cash and can always lean on Eric for more.  All of this is good news for long term, multi-year investors but bad news for short term speculators, most of whom, have already left the stock.  There are a handful of day traders ...more

Lean on Eric...ask Ascot (AOT) how they think about Eric. They just did not get the 60 mio. proposed to help building their mine, starting with production in spring 2023. No, he walked away........might have a big bunch of red figures these days in his portfolios!!!!!!! And AOT has to find a new way to run its show........................

Queensway isn't a mine, it is a new mining district analagous to the Abitibi.  None of the big investors are walking away from this story until they get bought out. Eric saturation buys.  He keeps the best and gets rid of the rest.  If NFG needs another 140 million for 400,000 more metres of drilling it will not be a problem. Bloggers are comparing this story to this mine or ...more

Absolutely! NFG's portion of the Appleton Fault is 115 km long. Running  parallel to the Appleton fault at a distance of about 5 km is the JBP Fault which NFG. And NFG is just one company. There are other companies  north, south, east and west of NFG with land packages in early stage exploration and drilling. This is truly a new mining district extending coast to coast all the way ...more
