New Found Provides Update on Technical Disclosure

To meet the requirements of section 3.3 (2) of NI 43-101 the Company has added additional higher-grade intervals within lower grade intersections to Tables 1, 2 and 3. Additionally, the Company would like to clarify that the assay data disclosed has been verified by the Company’s Qualified Person against the original assay certificates and that the Company does not recognize any factors of drilling, sampling or recovery that could materially affect the accuracy or reliability of the assay data disclosed.

I can't tell what the updates are as it appears they updated the tables on their website as well. The tables look the same? Anyone have copies of the old tables? What is really new? Tom K

If you compare todays's "Lotto and Golden Joint highlights" to that of the March 24 press release the number of lines has grown from 13 to 25.  I'm sure there are other examples. It is all bureaucratic overkill in my opinion.  There is nothing "new".

What a waste of an update. The string of news has been lack lustre at best with many, many months of nothing. Surely the company has some more drill results to release rather than redundant prattle. Is anyone home?
Comment by wajac on Apr 06, 2022 12:30pm
Austin, they may not have any drill results to release. There is only one lab in NL and the number of exploration companies have increased dramatically in the past 18 months. These companies are submitting grab samples and drill core for analysis. Even though the lab has expanded I would not be surprised that assays are still backlogged.

Thanks Wajac - particularly if the company is still employing the "double-assay" technique  until they can finally put a stop to this inanity. el d

Today's press release was a British Columbia legal requirement.  Nothing more should be read into it. There is a good chance that we will get a real press release tomorrow. The assay labs are already backlogged everywhere.

This absolutely a big fat nothing burger. This type of review by the BCSC is very typical of juniors when they issue assay PRs. This is NOT the US SEC. I had many of my former audit clients get these comment letters from time to time. The market knows this.  BC

BC,  it's borderline harrassment, but it does give NFG another opportunity to show the world how great, even some of their weaker results have been. It's also possible that they simply don't understand NFG's Burrito and it's comparison to KL's Fosterville Burrito. Q.H. needs to tell them, that if they don't understand this, then there is nothing else I can tell you ...more

Yeah it is strange why they asked NFG to report these results again. It gives a slightly better breakdown of the distinct high grade intervals but really as you reported there is absolutely nothing new with regards to this news release. But yet the market didn't seem to like it. More nervous nellies sold so good riddance I say. Better off without them.   My gut ...more

My gut feeling is NFG will release some earthshattering positive news very soon. I'm not sure how to describe it but the entire town is really excited about this discovery with everyone talking about it so there is nothing but positive things being talked about down here in Gander and nearby communities about this discovery. Most people you talk to seem to think New Found Gold want to develop ...more

Yep the countdown has started for NFG's blastoff into orbit. Last call for cheapies has gone out.

Please promise me you will have a piece for me in abstentia....I would take this to be a  sincere respect of our brotherhood and please tell me what flavor.  Let me know if anyone breaks their tooth on a gold nugget.   Haha ike you have a way with words. But yes there are several pretty young geologists that work at New Found Gold. Smart, young and good looking is a dangerous combination for old guys like us. Lol I'm going back to work at my regular job (yes I still have to work unfortunately) so we will have to get updates from somebody else. Perhaps wajac can keep us up to speed on local ...more

I hear ya megacopper. I'll do my best, but you are the super sleuth!
Comment by diabase1 on Apr 06, 2022 6:14pm
Megacopper, there's a correct way to report assay results and an incorrect way. I guess NFG has been reporting the incorrect way for some time now, so the BC regulator stepped in. It has nothing to do with the values, but the method. My take on this if you have a 50m intercept of say 8 g/t, then all pertinent values within the 50m distance, has to be reported. Maybe NFG wasn't reporting ...more

I'd like to know more about this as well...
Comment by megacopper on Apr 06, 2022 8:23pm
Yes some people are hinting that NFG are smearing the assay results but I just don't see it. NFG have been very truthful and transparent in the way they report the drill results openly discussing why the results are the way they are. I know when an exploration company is reckless with the assay results. This isn't my first rodeo believe me because I've ...more

To my raw eye, the technical report reported more gold than the original. Wonderful
