APPLETON, N.L. — New Found Gold wants to do more seismic survey and trenching work to explore for minerals near Appleton, in central Newfoundland.

Before they can cut down trees or clear a 269-kilometre-long path, however, the company has to get approval from the province’s environment department.

According to documents filed with the department, the company wants to conduct a seismic survey over 48 square kilometres.

The path to access the survey area would be about two to three metres wide.

According to New Found Gold, HiSeis is “an experienced, leading international seismic services company and have proposed a modern, low-impact seismic line construction method for this project.” Are there no experienced Canadian companies?? NFG management should do their homework.
