General area

Sprott obviously likes this area, he just bought another million dollars worth of shares in a private placement in Exploits. They own property adjacent.

This orogenic gold syatem is going to stretch the entire lengths of the Appleton and JBP faults.  It will be drilled for centuries to come.  The Newfoundlanders will be using antimatter powered phaser drills before they are finished.  Sprott's investment is going to be passed down through his family for generations to come.  I don't see this as being a traditional pump ...more

Strongly agree with the final portions of your summation. However, this site has been like a looney bin in recent months, so I prefer to just sit on my position, relax, and let this adventure continue when it's ready, just as I've done with KNT. (I'm also well into the retirement years :) ).

I was also in KNT.  I rode it from 2-7 then bailed.  I may get back in just before the twin incline comes on line. There is a difference between a mine story and a mining camp story.  KNT is a mine story.  Queensway will be a mining camp story similar to the Abitibi.  We are still at the very early stages.  Too bad we and Eric won't be around to see it's ...more

Exploits Discovery [NFLD]  just received their permit to drill the Bullseye Property, which straddles the Appleton Fault between NFG's Lotto North and LAB's Big Vein. There is a lot of interest and their share price has been on the way up. NFLD is only one of many companies with properties on or near the Appleton/JBP Faults and most have yet to drill because of numerous supply ...more

Silver for sure, probably some Antimony. Where did you hear Lithium?  That has nothing to do with orogenic systems.  It is either a granite pegmatite element or a salt lake element.

It refers to the Kracken pegmatite field on the SW coast.  Newfoundland is a big place and that is a long ways from Gander.  It is totally unrelated to the orogenic belt of central Newfoundland. Furthermore, lithium bearing granite pegmatites can't compete against lithium brine operations except with enormous government subsidies.  The element is there but it is tightly locked ...more

Did a little search on the various kinds of lithium. While pegmatite lithium is at a disadvantage to brine lithium it is not as bad as you assert. The following quote is from one of the articles I read. "Hard-rock ore containing lithium is extracted at open-pit or underground mines using conventional mining techniques. The ore is then processed and concentrated using a variety of methods ...more
